The\u00a0 physical work\u00a0 on the ground that would help\u00a0 take you to the tombs featured on the new iBBC<\/a> app started today.<\/p>\n

A team of volunteers including Brownie Khoo Ee Hoon had prepared sign-ages to be secured at various vantage points. The signs are colour coded to the map so you can\u00a0 traverse\u00a0 the sprawling hills of Bukit Brown, independently.<\/p>\n

Ee Hoon who helmed the artwork for this project,\u00a0 outlined a\u00a0 list of things which had to be done<\/p>\n

The steps:
\n1) Design+Buying material (metal pole, cement, boards, laminating film, nuts and bolts)<\/p>\n

2) Production of poles and signages which involve
\na) cutting pole to length required
\nb) making cemented base + planting metal pole into cement base and dry
\nc) Painting the metal pole.
\nd) Cutting boards for signages and drilling holes for nuts and bolts.<\/p>\n

3) The calculation of distant (footnote)
\n4) The final adjustment to design + print + laminate
\n5) Stick laminated signages to board,
\n5) Arrange signages\u00a0 in right sequences
\n6) Screw board to metal poles
\n7) Plant the finished\u00a0 poles and signages.<\/p>\n

footnote trivia :\u00a0 the distances on the sign board to the tomb, shown in metres\u00a0 were calculated by footsteps. On average.\u00a0 one footstep is equivalent to one metre. So walking 150 metres to a tomb is approximately 150 steps depending on how long is\u00a0 your stride \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n
