Dr Lai Chee Kien shared Bukit Brown ‘s heritage, habitat and history\u00a0 on channel 8’s Good Morning Singapore today.\u00a0 Covering the poetry of Khoo Seok Wan<\/a> and Tan Ean Kiam<\/a> who both penned their own epitaphs on their tombs , he stressed\u00a0 how the Chinese speaking community\u00a0 can connect\u00a0 with the diversities of histories of the region. He also highlighted the many Peranakan tombs in Bukit Brown.<\/p>\n

Dr Lai Chee Kien, Assistant Professor in the Dept of Architecture (NUS),\u00a0 is part of\u00a0 the team\u00a0 documenting the\u00a0 graves which have to make way for the highway\u00a0 in Bukit Brown.<\/p>\n
