It also traces the development and changes of the area from the mid 19th century to the 21st century.<br \/>\nSpeaker\u2019s bio: Mok Ly Yng is a freelance GIS consultant and map researcher. He received his M.Sc. in Geographical Information Systems (GIS) from the University of Edinburgh. He had worked previously in the Mapping Unit and the National Archives of Singapore.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Bukit Brown Cemetery in Maps -  A Historical Survey\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Gx_DQSFnhuI?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>Dr Ho Hua Chew &#8211; The\u00a0 Ecological and\u00a0Biodiversity Importance of Bt Brown.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Having become forested through several decades of wild vegetation growth after being degazetted as a cemetery, the area generally has become attractive to many wildlife, in particular the forest birdlife. The talk will focus on the important and interesting forest wildlife that is recorded in the area.<\/p>\n<p>Speaker\u2019s bio: Dr Ho Hua Chew is the Vice-chairman of the Conservation Committee of the Nature Society (Singapore) as well as a Council member of the Society. He has\u00a0 been involved in conservation projects for the Society as a volunteer since the late 80s, including the formulation of Sungei Buloh conservation proposal and the Master Plan for Nature Conservation in Singapore.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Bukit Brown : The Ecological Dimension\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/6krHsiSP4S0?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>Charles Goh &#8211; All things paranormal in BBC<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Singapore&#8217;s own ghost buster, shares stories from beyond the graves, and findings from his investigations in paranormal activities.<\/p>\n<p>Speakers bio : Charles Goh is the founder of the Asia Paranormal Investigators (<a href=\"http:\/\/api.sg\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">API<\/a>)\u00a0 which is a paranormal research based\u00a0Society based in Singapore. API\u00a0 that strives to systematically analyze any strange occurrences happening in Singapore and around the region.
