During the 1910s, he moved to Taiping with his family but left after two years for Singapore, where he felt there were better prospects.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Of the businesses he established in Singapore, the most successful was the See Sen Soap Factory (\u6642\u9bae\u80a5\u7682\u5ee0), one of the local firms which rose to challenge the dominance of the market by Western manufacturers then. Although sales trailed behind another local firm Ho Hong Soap Factory, its distinctive \u201cDog\u2019s Head\u201d (\u72d7\u982d\u6a19) brand soap was popular in Singapore, Malaya, Borneo and Hong Kong, both before and after the war.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_9936\" style=\"width: 412px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/bukitbrown.com\/main\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/Dog-Brand-_Source.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-9936\" class=\"wp-image-9936 \" src=\"http:\/\/bukitbrown.com\/main\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/Dog-Brand-_Source-300x271.jpg\" alt=\"Dog Brand _Source\" width=\"402\" height=\"302\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-9936\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Dog Brand Trade Mark (Source https:\/\/moulmeincacc.wordpress.com\/2014\/06\/03\/castle-at-no-19-barker-road\/)<\/p><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Ang Kok Kian passed away in 1939, leaving behind 4 sons. By then, his eldest son Ang Hai Sun (\u6d2a\u6d77\u5c71) was actively involved in the family business.
