Guided Walks: Info
27Dear Visitors,
Information on our regular free guided weekend walks and public holidays under All Things Bukit Brown and registration is recommended is now available on Peatix. Please click on this link to register.
The guided walks usually begin at 9am and end at 12 pm, although there are sometimes walks in the afternoons from 4pm to 6.30pm and night walks. They are organised based on the availability of volunteers with the exception of the first weekend of every month, where there are guided walks available on a Saturday morning and Sunday afternoon, should you want to plan ahead.
The Battlefield Guided Walk conducted by Jon Cooper is available every last Sunday of the month.
Please take note of the new access routes and meeting points and check where the meeting point for your guided walks is on the event page.
If you are interested in organising a private guided walk for a minimum of 15 pax, please email a.t.buktbrown@gmail.com. As we all volunteers, weekends are easier to arrange then weekdays, weekdays means volunteers will need to take time of from work.

Hello,
I would like to enquire the Bukit Brown tour schedule for December.
Thank you for your time,
Kevin
As we are all volunteers with daytime jobs, we will announce the December tour schedule closer to the date. Keep an eye on this page or follow our Peatix page to get notifications on new events.
Hi
Just like to find out when is the next guided walk. How do we find out the dates of the events?
Can we bring our pets along?
Hi Bee Hong,
The post has information on guided walks for self checking. Basically look out for peatix events under All Things Bukit Brown and register as that would help volunteers know how many are coming. The link is provided in this post. As for pets, if you mean dogs if they are well behaved around human beings, sure but please do clear up after them. We have had dogs before on our guided walks. Many dog owners bring their dogs to Bukit Brown for walks.
Thank you for the info.
I am planning to come to singapore on 16-22 december 2015 for a medical conference
Please let me know in advance how can i join a tour on these dates
Thanks
Dear Abed,
Please check the website the week before or the week itself whether there are any guided walks and you can just register. They are conducted by volunteers. As it is close to the holiday period, some will be away.
Cheers
Hi.
May I know the available dates for guided tour in January and the timings for those guides?
Thanks
Hi, is there some guided walk in next Sun? If not, is free entry allowed if I myself want to visit there? Anybody can give me some advice? Haven’t been there before and I plan a walk in Sunday morning, say at about 8-10 am.
Thanks.
Hi,
Guided walks are suspended during the annual Qing Ming period. But its a good time to visit if you are on your own as there will be families visiting during this time for “tombsweeping”. There are usually joggers and dog walkers. There are usually joggers and dog walkers. There are signposts of a map of general area by the road within the cemetery grounds, if you want to explore away from the road in the cemetery, do please make sure you keep sight of the road. There are usually joggers and dog walkers. Please note there are no toilet facilities or formal shelters, also make sure you have good walking shoes, mozzie repellant, water and sunscreen/cap.
Enjoy and keep safe

Hi!
My name is Sarah and I am writing to you on behalf of Sembawang CC Youth Club. Sembawang CC Youth Club is planning to organise a walk for youths at Bukit Brown this coming June. The objective of this walk is to engage youths in healthy activities during their school holidays, and at the same time, learn more about Singapore’s cultural heritage that Bukit Brown has to offer.
As such, I would like to enquire if it is possible for us to organise a private guided tour at Bukit Brown. I tried to send you an email at a.t.buktbrown@gmail.com, but my email could not get through due to mail delivery error. I have tried many times but to no avail. Is there any other way I can contact you to discuss more? Thanks for your time!
Sarah,
Apologies. The email is a.t.bukitbrown@gmail.com. We have been receiving requests from various grps so it should work.
Hi, was wondering if there will be guided walks on 18/19 June? Thanks!

I was wondering since the 1st was on a Sunday this month if there will be a free guided tour this weekend or not. I am very interested in attending but I just am not sure if this weekend (May 7 and 8) is considered the first weekend or not.
Thanks,
Diane

Hi,
Are you still organizing tours?
Dear Rudd,
Information on any upcoming weekend guided walks can be found by following us on peatix events under a.t.bukitbrown events. This is the link: http://peatix.com/user/617188
Do note that for the month of April, because of the annual Qing Ming Festival which is when descendants visit for “tomb sweeping”, guided walks are suspended till after April 17 as there is traffic congestion.
Hello! I’d like very much to be able to go on a Bukit Brown/ Adam Road tour – do you still do these?
Hi Charmaine,
Jon Cooper who used to conduct these tours on our behalf has gone back to home to the UK. When he next visits in April, we will try and get him to conduct a tour. We do not do personal email notifications of our guided walks, please subscribe to our event platform on peatix Bukit Brown Events for all updates on guided walks. https://peatix.com/group/16067/#
